CAC certificat d’aptitude au championnat national (an attestation of competence for the national championship)
CACIB certificat d’aptitude au championnat international (an attestation of competence for the international championship)
RCAC ou RCACIB granted to the second in the ranking, which eventualy will receive the CAC of CACIB if the 1st one already is national or internatinal champion
RCI (= GHP = IPO) is a workprogram that holds 3 discipines: tracing, obedience and defence
Schutz-H is a varaint on the RCI designed by a German club for the German Shepard (SV). In fact, the RCI descends from Schutz-H which doesn’t exists any more in that form
Best in show best dog of the show
Group 1 the group of the shepards to which the beauceron belongs. All races are classified in groups. There are 10 group in total: big watch dogs, hunting dogs, companion dogs, etc.
To grant a national title
each country has his own rules, but a number of CAC will always be necessary to be able to participate at the championschip, some times the CAC need to be won in minimum of time, sometimes in a maximum of time
To gain the title of international beauty champion
a minimum of 3 CACIB must have been granted by three different judges in at least 3 different countries + one RCI 1 (because beauceron are part of the group of the working dogs), and this in a time period of minimum 12 months
To become international show champion
a minimum of 4 CACIB must have been granted by 3 different judges in at least 3 different countries and this in a time period of at least 1 year
The “cotations” (quotations) only exist in France and go from “cotation 1” till “cotation 6”
To gain cotation 3 (Excellent) the following things are required:
Excelent in morphology in a regional of national racespecial
Be free of hip dysplasia (HD-A of HD-B)
DNA (genetically) identified.
To gain cotation 4 (Recommended) the following things are required:
Excellent+ in a national racespecial
Excellent on the character test or on the work criteria required for a clearance of the character test
Be free of hip dysplasia (HD-A of HD-B)
DNA (genetically) identified.Or

Excellent in a national racespecial in combination with the work criteria required for a clearance of the character test
Have undergone with succes, a series of three gun shots
To be part of the final selection
Be free of hip dysplasia (HD-A of HD-B)
DNA (genetically) identified
